Don’t even think to yourself that you will write them out on your phone ahead of time and then just copy them onto a piece of paper on the wedding day.

No, stop it.

You do not want to have to deal with that either. You especially don’t want to have to deal with writing them from scratch; trying to come up with some of the most important things you’ll ever say to your partner – in front of all of your friends and family. Right. Before. You say it.

You’ve got a group of people around you, some of which you potentially haven’t seen in years.

You’re eating and drinking. You’re getting your hair and makeup done. You’re hanging out with friends. You’re listening to music.

You’re not thinking and focusing on what you want to say in your vows.

Do it ahead of time. Sit down within the month leading up to your wedding and really think about what you want to say to the person that you’re about to marry. Give yourself time to make edits and come up with vows that come from the heart but are also well thought out.

Don’t put off your vows.

Why are you putting it off? Go write them now.

This is one of the most important parts of your wedding day and you’re putting it off until the day of when you’re trying to hang out with your friends.
