I have been planning weddings (at least in my head) ever since my debut in the wedding industry at the age of 7 years old when I was the flower girl in my Aunt’s wedding.

I believed (and still do) that the Flower Girl is the second most important role in any wedding, right after the Bride (of course!). I have been in event planning for over 15 years, the hospitality industry for over 20 years and have been planning weddings in the greater Charlotte & Asheville areas since 2016.

While I grew up in Pennsylvania, and attended college in Tampa, FL (Go USF Bulls!), I now consider Lake Norman to be home along with my partner, Colin and our daughter, Kieran. When I’m not busy planning and designing gorgeous weddings that reflect our clients’ unique interests, you can find me with my family enjoying the breeze on Lake Norman, sneaking away to the beach or the mountains or at one of the Charlotte or Asheville area’s many amazing breweries.

Hey, I'm Kimberly

Owner | Lead Planner & Designer

In October of 2022, I started my journey with the Flourish Design team as the Studio Manager, with the opportunity to also learn floral design. I dove headfirst into the action, quickly realizing that floral work is far from the glamorous image it's often perceived as – it's hands-on and gritty, yet utterly captivating. It didn't take long for me to fall head over heels for the world of floral design.

Beyond the petals and stems, I cherish my time at home with my husband and our furry family of two dogs and four cats. If we’re not working on a home improvement project chances are we’re either lounging in the pool or down by the pond with a cup of coffee or a glass of red wine, watching the wildlife and basking in the peace and quiet. I am truly happiest when surrounded by nature and in the company of animals.

Having grown up in Western NY, near Buffalo (Go Bills!), I embraced the first chance I had to escape the snow in 2007 and settled in North Carolina. In 2014, my husband and I exchanged vows during a small, intimate, DIY backyard wedding in Ellicottville NY. Looking back, one thing I'd change is hiring a wedding coordinator, someone to orchestrate the details, allowing us to be fully present for every memory-making moment with our loved ones.

Throughout the weddings I've been a part of, I am always moved by the tender father-daughter moments and the first dance but what truly brings me the most joy is when couples find ways to include their furry companions in the celebration. 

Hey There, I'm Jaime

I joined the Flourish Wedding Design team in the Spring of 2022. My first experience with wedding planning was with my own wedding in 2008. It was one of the best days of my life and I get such joy out of being part of a team that helps couples create and execute their memorable day.

I grew up in Southern California and relocated to North Carolina in 2019. I love an excuse to make a spreadsheet or refine a process and when I am not doing that, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my husband and three kids.

Hello, I'm McKenzie!

They say you never feel like you work a day in your life when you’re doing something you love and enjoy, and that’s exactly how I feel about being a wedding planner. I get to learn something new every day and develop my skills even more which will hopefully lead to one day starting my own wedding planning business.

I graduated college in the spring of 2023 with a degree in Business Administration- Marketing. Other than marketing, I see myself doing wedding planning for a long time which is what started my journey with Flourish. I am a soon to be mama, and outside of work I enjoy reading books (specifically by Colleen Hoover), spending time with my cat, binge watching reality tv shows, or being outdoors whether it’s taking a walk or laying out at the beach or by the pool.

With a strong sense of purpose and passion, I always make sure that I am doing everything to make the wedding as successful and as smooth as possible. I always strive to help others and put their needs before my own, ultimately that’s what makes me happy!

I am blessed to say that I have been a part of the Flourish team since the Spring of 2023. Recently graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences, I've found my true passion in wedding coordination.

In the short time I've been with Flourish, I've soaked up knowledge like a sponge, and I'm genuinely so grateful for every experience planning weddings has brought my way. Every challenge, every setup – it's all worth it when you see the smiles on the couples' faces as everything comes together seamlessly.

My love for what we do goes beyond just organizing and preparing for the big day; it's about reflecting the uniqueness of each couple we work and making sure their dreams come to life. There's this incredible energy that comes with turning dreams into reality, and I thrive on it.
