Who said you can't have your cake and eat it too?
At Flourish Wedding Design our goal is to take on the challenge of putting together an unforgettable wedding experience for you and your loved ones while keeping sustainability at the forefront of our minds and your event.
Ready to start planning your dream wedding?
I have been planning weddings (at least in my head) ever since my debut in the wedding industry at the age of 7 years old when I was the flower girl in my Aunt’s wedding.
I believed (and still do) that the Flower Girl is the second most important role in any wedding, right after the Bride (of course!). I have been in the event planning industry for over 10 years and have been planning weddings in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area for 5 years.
While I grew up in Pennsylvania, and attended college in Tampa, FL (Go USF Bulls!), I now consider Lake Norman to be home along with my boyfriend, Colin and our daughter, Kieran. When I’m not busy planning and designing gorgeous weddings, you can find my family enjoying the breeze on the lake, sneaking away to the beach or at one of the Charlotte area’s many amazing breweries.
I joined the Flourish Team in March of 2021. My first day with Flourish was an outdoor styled shoot and it rained, ALL DAY LONG - in March! By the end of the day, I knew I found something I truly loved because I was soaked from head to toe and absolutely frozen with an hour and a half ride home and I couldn’t stop thinking about how much fun I just had and how much better a real wedding will be!
I am from Fountain Inn, SC and received a degree in Communications - Public Relations/Social Media from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC. After graduating, I relocated to Charlotte with my fiancé Mike and my 3 cats (Apollo, Girl, and Julian). Some things to know about me: I amobsessed with my fiance, cats, anything eco-friendly, food, traveling, and weddings!
It’s a little cliche to say but, I love love! Wedding days are filled with so much love and laughter, it’s intoxicating and worth every minute of the planning and setup process. Being a Lead Planner I get to meet new people all the time. I meet local vendors that I become friends with outside of work, I get to meet the grandparents of our clients and hear stories about their childhood mischiefs. And let’s be honest, getting to try new food all the time is a major job perk! There are truly so many things I love about working with Flourish, the name says it all, we are a group of flourishing women, growing together in an environment we’re all utterly obsessed with.
Hey y’all, I’m Ashley!
A proud mama to a high-spirited little boy and Lead Coordinator at Flourish Wedding Design. Originally from Wisconsin and after spending several years in Florida, my family is proud to plant our roots in Salisbury, NC. After studying Journalism at The University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, I found the opportunity to get my Wedding Planner Certification through Lovegevity University. This is when I decided to go after my dream of becoming a Wedding Planner - and it was the best decision I've ever made.
With a passion for researching and a desire to keep everything well organized, I’m able to put my skills to work everyday at Flourish Wedding Design work with so many amazing couples!
My favorite part of Wedding Day is the hustle and bustle of setup: dressing tables and placing name cards, making sure that each detail is in place. Every client's process is so fun and unique and we become so close by the end of their event, it’s hard to say goodbye. I wake up everyday and love my job all over again! Flourish really gets me- I feel so at home here!
And here’s a little secret: I love when our clients' write their own vows, because it means I will be having a good cry with the guests!
Hi, I’m Kimberly!
I joined the Flourish Wedding Design team in the Spring of 2022. My first experience with wedding planning was with my own wedding in 2008. It was one of the best days of my life and I get such joy out of being part of a team that helps couples create and execute their memorable day.
I grew up in Southern California and relocated to North Carolina in 2019. I love an excuse to make a spreadsheet or refine a process and when I am not doing that, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my husband and three kids.
I look forward to working with you to make your dream wedding a reality.
